The NRHS Washington, DC Chapter (DCNRHS) will host a RAILROAD BOOK SALE on Saturday and Sunday August 12-13, from noon to 4, at the Martin F. O’Rourke Memorial Railroad Library. To learn more about the library visit it’s web site at https://railroadlibrary.org/ . All sale proceeds will be used to benefit the Library. The books offered for sale are duplicates, deaccessioned items and donations. The sale will also include related railroad items, such as timetables from eastern railroads. Acceptable forms of payment are cash and checks. While you are there, you can also enjoy some awesome train watching on the adjacent Northeast Corridor tracks. The Library is located in Bowie Tower, adjacent to the Bowie Museum and Welcome Center, which will also be open.
